HITCHHIKER SPINNING WHEEL
The Hitchhiker is a single treadle, true "heel – toe" machine. It is
constructed of unfinished or painted Baltic Birch ply. Although the wheel is
14", to keep the wheel small and portable the Hitchhiker uses a friction
drive not a drive band. There is an
on-board lazy kate and comes with 3 bobbins. The supplied Bobbins are also
Ashford SD compatible.
The Hitchhiker is one of the smallest wheels in the industry, this makes it perfect to store when not in use or to travel, it is airline carry-on compatible and fits perfectly on the front seat of a car. Its convient weight of 9.3 pounds makes it perfect for guild meetings and shows. The convenient handle, makes it an easy grab and go wheel.
